The remote line shack was the safety valve for many a cowboy or sheep herder who was storm stranded miles from the ranch house.  They are rapidly disappearing throughout the west.  The approaching storm in late autumn could bring the first deep blanket of snow to this high mountain valley.  Edition of 50.
